At Peevski's request: The Defense Committee in the National Assembly of Bulgaria gave the green light to US President Donald Trump's Board of Peace.
The MPs adopted a draft resolution obliging the Council of Ministers to submit to the National Assembly a Draft Law on Ratification of the Agreement on the Accession of the Republic of Bulgaria to the Board of Peace. The submitter is the leader of the Movement for Rights and Freedom (DPS)-New Start Delyan Peevski.
The decision of the Defense Committee was made with nine votes "in favor", none "against" and one "abstention".
The day before, it became clear that Andrey Gyurov's office had notified the US of a temporary freeze of the organization's statute until its approval by the National Assembly. This provoked a sharp reaction from Peevski, who accused the government of sabotaging security and insisted on an immediate procedure.
The accession of our country to the Board of Peace under the patronage of the United States of America and President Trump was announced by the outgoing Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov on January 22.
With this decision, the National Assembly, in fulfillment of its Constitutional powers, will decide on Bulgaria's membership in the Board of Peace of US President Donald Trump, which for us has no alternative, Peevski motivated his proposal on March 11.
"This is our response to the attempts of the caretaker cabinet to mislead our country's Euro-Atlantic partners, provoking diplomatic intrigues in order to serve foreign financial and political interests of the compromised political formations that created it," emphasizes the leader of the DPS.
"It is unacceptable for a caretaker cabinet, without a mandate, NGO-dependent, subordinate to George and Alexander Soros and their clique, to jeopardize the security of the state of Bulgaria at a crucial moment for the world order", Peevski pointed out.
According to him, "with the vote in the Bulgarian parliament, it will become crystal clear which parties and leaders consistently and courageously defend Bulgaria's national interest for a worthy place in the most decisive change in the global political map of the world and which ones serve the global backstage of George and Alexander Soros."
"We have welcomed this initiative since its inception and we cannot fail to note the historic contribution of Rosen Zhelyazkov, who made a bold move and made Bulgaria part of the Board for Peace", said Stanislav Anastasov from the DPS-NEW START.
During the meeting of the Foreign Policy Committee, deputies from GERB-SDF, "There is such a people" (ITN) and DPS-New Start registered.
GERB was represented by Georg Georgiev, Hristo Gadzhev, Dimitar Nikolov, Denitsa Sacheva, Toma Bikov and Yordanka Fandakova, who is also the chairwoman of the Foreign Committee.
From "There is such a people" - Toshko Yordanov.
From DPS-New Start - Iskra Mihaylova, Dzhem Yamenov, Stanislav Anastasov.
