The "deep state" usually has no face. Or it has many faces. Bulgaria, however, has a "deep state" with a gentle face – a mythical figure who is not present in the media and whose name is not publicly known.

The nickname "Galya from the Embassy," however, has surfaced on air more than once and is always mentioned by people in power as the grey cardinal of the "deep state."

"A certain Galya from the American Embassy is currently governing the country, however ironic that may sound." These words belong to the former Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Bulgaria, Vezhdi Rashidov, and were uttered in the bTV studio in February 2024, regarding his withdrawal from parliament after a scandal involving a remark about women who were victims of violence.

Rashidov explained why he believes the said Galya from the embassy is in charge – she called his colleagues from the parliamentary group when he told them he would withdraw with dignity after the scandal.

"From GERB, they told me that Ms. Galya called from the embassy to ask what they were going to do with me. The woman is asking about me – what they are going to do to me. I don't know who she is. Ms. Sacheva told the colleagues that she called from the embassy, to her, to the GERB members. Since she is calling the parliament, who is governing then? I don't see anyone else," Rashidov concluded then.

But who is this mythical figure who, according to the people in power, can literally rule the entire country? Journalistic investigations suggest that the woman behind the nickname 'Galya from the Embassy' is Galina Sabeva, a political affairs expert at the American Embassy.

Galina Sabeva comes from an old communist lineage. Her grandfather was the communist activist from Sliven, Sabi Dimitrov, who committed suicide in 1941. Her father, as an heir to the prominent communist figure, secured an ambassadorial position in Switzerland during the socialist era.

Galina herself worked for some time as a reporter for Reuters, but after marrying the American commercial attaché, she reoriented herself towards fervent service at the "Kozyak" embassy, through which, however, she allegedly promotes the interests of the deep state in Bulgaria, as well as the manipulation network created by George Soros and his proxy in Bulgaria – the oligarch Ivo Prokopiev.

"Galya's mother was driven to school in a Mercedes provided by the Central Committee of the Bulgarian Communist Party while attending the 114th English Language High School; Nowadays, Galya visits the Council of Ministers in armored SUVs!" shares lawyer Ivan Petrov in a post on his Facebook page, who used to be a classmate of Galya's mother.

"Galya from the Embassy" has now become a epitome for the behind-the-scenes pulling of the strings of the "assembly" (a term often used to describe the current ruling coalition). The name "Galya from the Embassy" emerged when it became clear that someone close to Ivo Prokopiev's wife (also named Galya) keeps вulgarian politicians "on a tight leash". Sabeva herself willingly recounts that one of 'the most interesting periods' of her work at the American embassy involved meetings with election campaign headquarters in major Bulgarian cities.

The significant role of "Galya from the Embassy" in the Soros and Prokopiev network is attributed to her ability to manipulate the information sent from the embassy to the administration across the Ocean. This way, she allegedly promotes the interests of the local deep state and slanders all those inconvenient for the Soros-Prokopiev tandem.

It is precisely for this reason that the said "Galya" is so important to the local pseudo-democrats from the "Capital" circle, because through her they control the information flow from the primary source and can easily mislead those in power in America regarding the actual processes in Bulgaria.

Galina Sabeva's lawful spouse is from New England – Massachusetts and is no less interesting. The name Kenneth Lefkowitz is not unfamiliar to the Bulgarian media. He appears as "the chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Bulgarian Wind Energy Association" when commenting on scandals with renewable energy power plants, or as "an American who has lived in Bulgaria for years" when, for some unknown reason, he comments on US presidential elections. He is also a "businessman and financier" who gives expert opinion on Biden's inauguration.

Lefkowitz's business is an example of balanced prosperity, backed by connections with "the right people at the right time." He is a co-owner of the consulting company "New Europe Corporate Advisory," which in the last few years has provided consulting services mainly in the energy sector, but also in the telecommunications sector.

He developed energy projects during the privatization era, and his connection to telecommunications dates back to the period when he was the executive director of a Bulgarian telecom company – "NetIX Communications." In late 2018 and almost all of 2019, he was involved in the restructuring of Bulsatcom on behalf of the company's founder, Plamen Genchev. Recently, he has mainly been involved in the development of a wind farm.

He arrived in Bulgaria in 1995, then 26 years old. Shortly after arriving in the country, preparations for privatization began, and he discovered a market niche for writing analyses. He then got himself involved deeply in the ongoing privatization and he served as the executive director of the 'Nadezhda' Privatization Fund for three years for three years.

He states that he is 'pleased with his work at the fund because he was able to 'monetize' its key assets After privatization, the fund had stakes in "Solvay Sodi," "Kaliakra," "Plevensko Pivo," and "Alen Mak," which were successfully sold. For several years, he was a representative of the fund in the cosmetic company "Alen Mak," serving two years as a member of the board of directors.

For several years, he was a board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria, and he is a co-founder of the Bulgarian Wind Energy Association. He is also a member of the Board of the Institute for Market Economics, where he is in company with the personal sociologist of the Prokopiev family – Boryana Dimitrova, owner of "Alfa Research."

Against this backdrop, it is hardly surprising that the nickname "Galya from the Embassy" has now acquired magical abilities and is used as a password by George Soros's circle in Bulgaria to secure power and comfort. Thus, "Galya from the Embassy" has literally become the gentle face of the deep state, which tried to hand over the country to the Soros circles.
